GENII provides a self-contained mapping system which is used to graph data which have a location or spatial extent. Data can be modeled as points, lines, and polygons, and raster images may also be included as desired. A wide cross section of spatial analysis tools is provided, as well as tools for creating and editing some classes of spatial data.
GENII seeks spatial data treatment on equal footing with tabular data. As such, SQL and spatial intersect tools are configured for side-by-side use. GENII also contains an integrated temporal model which is directly coupled to the mapping system. Each map is equipped with a calendar control: select a date and all maps and data are built to that point in time.
