GENII Interagency Services provides another level of connectivity; and that is, establishing connections between multiple agencies already employing GENII for data integration. The concept is simple, but the results are far reaching. Organization One employs GENII to integrate its data, while Organization Two does the same. Interagency Services allows Organization One to open its Application Index to Organization Two, and vice versa, as desired. So connected, it is also possible for entire applications and their associated data designs to be transferred between organizations in drop and drag fashion. Implementaion examples include:
- A multinational corporation with multiple divisions can easily link data between divisions when desired.
- A regional government can develop a master application for a given purpose and disseminate them to constituent local agencies.
- Adjacent transportation agencies can share border information such as oversize permits.
