The Genesis Enterprise Information Integrator (GENII) is a metadata-driven enterprise
information integration (EII) tool. It is a suite of integration tools, techniques,
and methods which facilitate the union of data from diverse and disconnected sources.
Like a filing system, these information sources are organized into Business Areas.
Any number of Business Areas may be organized into a central grouping called the
Application Index. This Application Index becomes a gateway to access and edit all
information registered to GENII. GENII:
- Reaches out like an octopus to connect to any number of databases and database platforms.
- Provides simple to use tools to quickly build applications against these diverse
data sources. Advanced information technology training is not required.
- Groups an unlimited number of information applications into a single user interface
of common look and feel. Cross training is a snap.
- Accommodates varying data types within a single environment (e.g. structured, semi-structured,
unstructured, temporal, spatial, and others).
- Combines the power of tabular, spatial, and temporal queries into a single tool.
Advanced information technology training is not required.
