Pigments?
#1
Does anyone use powered pigments by e.g. Mig, Vallejo, etc on terrain models? I've used them with mixed luck on model tanks, especially for dried spattered mud. I haven't tried them on terrain yet.

If so, what do you use to fix the pigments for terrain pieces?

When I use pigments, no matter the manufacturer, I usually paint on some watered-down Liquitex matte medium on the places I want the pigment to stick, then I brush it on. The powder sticks right to the matte medium, and when the medium dries, the pigment tends to stay in place.

I also like to use pigments in washes, especially with 91% Isapropanol solution with sometimes a drop of matte medium.
