I have been building models for many years. I started out with the typical model kits (cars, planes, etc.). I became interested in scale model terrain about ten years ago when I got into N scale railroads. I never really cared about the tracks or train just scenery. Then I stumbled into tabletop gaming. Again that became more about terrain and scenery. I liked the look of a lot of things the warhammer 40k factions have. However the game seems too rule intensive. I don't want to be stuck to one or two factions due to complicated rules, stories, etc. I have tried a few times to some up with my own games that could be applied to an type of miniature. I am a little into FFG X-Wing and may at some point try to come up with some of my own scenarios. I guess it all comes down to me liking the idea of creating little worlds. So most of the time I am happy just. creating dioramas. I really don't like the idea of building something that will never serve a purpose. I thought about selling the stuff I make. However I doubt I would even get what I spent in materials. Also shipping isn't always cheap or easy. |
