Getting a head-start on this competition.

It may have been done before - but I needed some scatter terrain in the form of barrels boxes and general sea-port debris.

Boxes

Small blocks of foam are cut to shape and covered with balsa wood.


Cardboard is glued around the boxes to add metal details.


Then there was experimentation with other kinds of crates.


Barrels

1' Lengths of dowel are cut (pretend I am not using a metal saw - I am waiting for a replacement band-saw blade and could find no better alternative).



Then I used a belt sander to get a rough barrel shape.


This will be refined later with sandpaper and files.

Here is where it stands so far:

Sick of working on Barrels. Today I made these instead:


*Warrior Priest for Scale.

Build process for crates:

I'm out too. Holiday prep is stealing all my time. Bah Humbug!

These barrels and crates are everything.  ILU
