BUILD DAY 9

So I took the dog for a walk and found some interesting stones that I thought I could use as a Warpstone power source.

I painted them up and tried to come up with the where and how to attach them.

It wasn't working - It didn't look quite good enough.

Then I remembered that I had a couple of Warp energy generators (leftover from my two Plague Claw Catapults) sitting in my bits box.

So I built a Warp Drive:

It's not painted yet and I'm not 100% sold on the pipe position - but it's better than what I had.

I also added an anchor:

The anchor itself is made (believe it or not) from business cards. I took 5 business cards and cut out the rough shape of the anchor. I coated the shapes in PVA and clamped them together - once dry I used a sharp knife to carve the card further into the desired shape. then I cut out the two pees to glue to the ends.

I drilled a hole into the side of the ship and glued a washer to the outside then fed the chain in. The chain is stiffened using super glue.

A small piece of balsa wood and a paperclip where used to secure the anchor to the side of the hull.
Love it. Just needs a flux capacitor and your skaven can travel through time.

^ There was not a suitable emoticon for how this idea affected me.

It required a selfie.

I don't know - from that looks of that thing, I don't think it's going to be able to get up to 88 mph.

I think with a ship it would have to be 88 knots...
Or 76.4699 knots to be more precise... Big Grin

*clapping*... I was too lazy to do the maths...
BUILD DAY 10

Did some painting, added some more greeblies, built some looted cargo and made some more rope.

BUILD DAY 11

I think it's finished. If not 100%, then 99.5% complete. The model is made. All that is left to do now - is paint.

Hopefully it will take me no more than 2 days. a 13 day model would be perfectly thematic.  I am not going to post any more pictures till the end. OK maybe this one:

BUILD DAY 12 (Yesterday)

I did some painting....

Not enough, however. It took a long time to get anything done. My workspace was in such a mess. It took forever to find paint colours and then I got thinking while I was painting and added some more bits (bits that had to be found in the disarray). These parts then had to be primed and undercoated...

So today which would have been Build Day 13 is in fact not.

Today instead was spent cleaning and reorganizing my space: [Image: 24733132131_589da0fbc3_c.jpg]

Tomorrow will hopefully be the finishing day.
