I've decided to jump in with both feet...lol
I'm making a sacrificial area for Khorne, either for 40k, Necromunda or Death Squad...

so... on to the next  idea.... I grabbed card stock... sketched up a new idea... dug out a box of "Project Bricks" that I had lying around...

so far so good... on to the painting phase...

black base, with dark to medium grey moist to dry brush... copper for the pool area, then red drybrushed for detailing and to make it more Khorne-like... I'm debating on finishing touches...
but here it is with some Khorne Marines

so.... since this is the first one that I've gotten around to finishing in time, I have no idea what to do next...lol
Very cool. It's hard to tell -- is there any blood in the pool? If not, that's what I would probably add. Just a little to fill that ring around the outer bottom to bring the level up to the middle. It'll help hide the tell-tale shape of the container.

I agree, I have to figure out a medium for that... I don't really have a lot of things on hand for liquid effects.. maybe white glue with red paints .. also thinking about re-painting the brass color on the pool....
Are you going to do anything to hide the outside edge of the container?

There we go... bloody residue in the bottom, and touched up the rim with brass
Excellent. Now it looks well used. Smile How did you end up making it?

several lavers of a really cheap, thick, white glue by Wexford... the glue was old and separated...lol followed by layers of GW's scab red and blood red paints... then the rim was dry brushed with P3 molten bronze
